The pump is on! 08/25/2010
After a string of dry weather and no significant rain on the horizon, the Eagle Lake pump is running again. The pump replenishes the lake with over 1 million gallons of water a day.
To give you some perspective, 1 gallon of water is 231 cubic inches - or a little less than 2 square feet of water that is 1" deep. Eagle Lake has 224 acres of surface area which means that it takes over 6 million gallons of water to raise Eagle Lake 1".
